At St. Luke's, we value and nurture children. We are also committed to helping them worship God. In our worship services, they may not always understand the liturgy, but we can help them know that this is a place where they are truly loved, valued, and needed and that the Holy Spirit is present.
We hope the activities listed here will help you relax and appreciate the children. Truly the kingdom of Heaven does belong to them.
The Children and Family Ministries program at St. Luke’s also offers activities outside of Sunday school for children, youth and their families. Some of these activities include a Fall Harvest Party, Kid’s Nights, Family Nights, our annual Christmas Pageant and Easter Egg Hunt, the end-of-the-year Sunday school recognition picnic and a summertime Vacation Bible School. Sunday School at St. Luke's
Typically, St. Luke’s Sunday school meets weekly during the school year. These classes range in age from 4 years through 4th grade. In addition to Sunday school time, children participate in service projects and spend time in church worshipping with their families.

Sunday Nursery Care
St. Luke’s offers nursery care on Sundays during our 10:00am Service for our youngest church members under the age of three. Two paid attendants staff the nursery each week.
St Luke's Preschool
Located in the North End of Tacoma, the mission of St. Luke's Preschool is to provide superior early childhood education in a loving, Christian environment. We offer a solid academic foundation during these key developmental years to help our children kindle interests, acquire basic skills, and enjoy their learning experience.
Our goal is that they develop to their fullest potential intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
