Adult Formation | Presentation about the National Fund for Sacred Places

September 20 @ 9:15 am

In the spring of 2026, the Vestry and the Finance Committee formed a task force to investigate the possibility of St. Luke’s applying for a building improvement grant from the National Fund for Sacred Places. The Task Force is made up of Chris Huss, Ellen Donovan, Holly Hunt, and Sara Freeman. The National Fund for Sacred Places (NFSP) is a program supported by Partners for Sacred Places and the National Trust for Historic Preservation that provides financial and technical support for community-serving historic places of worship across the country.

The Task Force has recommended to the Vestry that applying for this grant would be feasible for St. Luke’s and beneficial for the parish as part of a larger capital campaign that will support our buildings and grounds well into its second century. Buy-in from St. Luke’s community will be central to this project. The NFSP Task Force invites all members to join them for an information session about the NFSP and capital fundraising on Sunday, September 20 at 9:15 in the Parish Hall. Kids can be at Sunday School and adults from both services are invited to attend. Please also look for the one-page flyer giving an overview of information in the Parish Hall!
