The Reverend Marlene Jacobs was called as our Rector in 2015.

Marlene is a native of Minnesota. She attended seminary at United Theological Seminary in St Paul, Minnesota 2001-2003 and Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria Virginia 2003 -2005. Additionally, she holds a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin.

Prior to being ordained in the Episcopal Church, Marlene served as a youth minister, and later worked as a caseworker in a juvenile correctional facility in Minnesota.

Marlene has a lively sense of humor and a passion for preaching engaging sermons. She seeks to promote the ministry of all, and enjoys collaborating with others. Marlene has a lifelong love of the great outdoors. She lives in Tacoma with her two dogs Barney and Juneau.
