Children / Youth Programs

St. Luke’s offers a variety of opportunities for children to learn about the Christian faith, play, make friends, and serve in leadership roles.

Sunday School

Sunday School is offered for children from ages 3 -14, taking place during a portion of the 10:00am service. Children rejoin their parents in time for communion. The Sunday School curriculum is based on the bible lessons assigned for each Sunday.

Vacation Bible School

St. Luke’s has a one week, Monday-to-Friday Vacation Bible School each July.

Choristers

Children (Kindergarten through Highschool) are invited to be a part of the Choristers program, which practices each Wednesday during the program year (September to May) and helps to lead worship once a month.

Acolytes

Youth may participate in serving Christ and our church in this rewarding ministry. The Rector and the Acolyte Master provide complete training in the duties and responsibilities. Acolytes participate in both Sunday Services and in other services as requested by the Rector.

St. Luke’s Preschool

St. Luke’s Preschool is staffed by a dedicated team that collaborates with St. Luke’s Memorial Episcopal Church in Tacoma, Washington. Our classes are designed to offer engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences to foster each child’s growth. We provide a Christian-based preschool program for children ages 12mo-5 years, focusing on their physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development.

St Luke’s also offers a variety of Family Events such as our annual Church campout at a local State Park, a parents of toddlers support group, Parents Night Out, service projects for children, and seasonal celebrations such as a Trunk or Treat event for Halloween, and cookie decorating before Christmas.
